Stephanie is one of those precious individuals whom I have encountered both online and in person through the homeschooling community. Few online niches offer such a frictionless transition to ‘real life’ connections as home education: in the year since we moved back to Australia we have found spaces of trust, sanity, and warmth where families connect around homeschooling.
Steph has the rare ability to attune herself to heart of a dialogue and draw out the essence of a story; I was able to move so much deeper in our conversation about homeschooling than the usual elevator spiel. This is a proper deep dive into the spiritual, ethical, ideological and pedagogical basis for our homeschooling journey, illuminating the finer threads of grief and self-realization that are woven into our lives as a family.
